- I wish my dad were alive to see this day.
- My 6-year-old son didn't understand why it was such a big deal that we elected an African-American president. He sees no difference between the various colors of people's skin. He and his sister will grow up in a world where a black man is president and the Red Sox have won two World Series'. I'm so glad for that.
- I will miss Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. But not Sarah Palin.
- I wish I still lived in the DC area. I'd like to go to the innaguration.
- Would things have turned out differently if we had seen more of the John McCain we saw in the concession speech last night during the campaign?
- I'm not bitter any more, Jo-Ann. Are you? :)

Stuff I'm thinking about.....

Good point, M. If JK/JE would have won, we most likely would not have seen BO so soon, or maybe never(?)...timing is everything I guess.
I'm still bitter. A bit less bitter, but still...
You know, I thought I'd be with Jeff and still be bitter. We are, after all, still suffering the mess that was created. The lives lost, will not be returned to earth; the damage that's been done is not yet undone. But I just feel really happy and hopeful. I see the world completely differently; sounds like I'm overstating it, but I'm not.
I think I have been wearing the bitterness like a big, heavy coat and I feel a little bare shedding it. But honestly, I think I have.
But I so missed sharing this election with my father. The anticipation, the discussions and mostly the hugs and celebration.
P.S. When do we get together to celebrate?
